Ox-chair StoolOx-chair Stool was designed by Hans J. Wegner (1914-2007). Like other pieces of furniture which are now regarded as modern classics Ox-chair was designed to compliment the Ox-Chair which was ahead of its time when it was launched in 1960. Making use of superior craftsmanship skills Wegner had created a sophisticated construction which exceeded what the production department was able to accommodate at the time. That was the reason the chair was pulled from production until 1989 when Erik Jørgensen was contacted by Hans J. Wegner in the hopes of bringing Ox-chair and stool back to life. Today Ox-chair stands as a sculptural version of the very best which Danish furniture has to offer. The Ox-chair stool consists of a fixed cover on a hand build frame made of mahogany and beech. Constructed from foam which is moulded. The Stool is available in both fabric and leather. The stool sits on a chrome steel frame. Delivery is approx 6-8 weeks from date of order. Both Leather and Fabric samples are available upon request. |
